Ketamine has potentially significant therapeutic benefits for patients with intractable, several pain disorders such as chronic cluster headache. This presentation will focus on the pharmacology of ketamine for pain and the use of ketamine for cluster and other severe headache disorders. We will review practical tips on using ketamine in inpatient, infusion and outpatient settings including protocols and safety concerns.

Recognize the use of ketamine for depression and chronic pain
Discuss treatment and outcomes using ketamine in those with intractable headache including cluster headache
Identify strategies to mitigate ketamine-related adverse events
