Dr. Strauss is a pediatric neurologist and UCNS headache specialist. Her clinical passion is helping children and young adults with refractory headaches. She recently joined the VCU School of Medicine and serves as division chief of Headache Medicine and General Neurology. She trained in General Pediatrics at Northwell Health Cohen Children’s Medical Center followed by Child Neurology at Harvard University’s Boston Children’s Hospital. She received her headache specialization after a Headache Medicine Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s John R. Graham Headache Center. She is a proud Fellow of the American Headache Society.
Dr. Strauss loves health care process improvement and transitioned to administrative roles leading in ambulatory operations. She serves as the Associate CMO of Ambulatory Care for VCU Health and the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Pediatrics. She leads the Taming the Inbasket Committee for the VCU Health system.
