Carrie Dougherty, MD, FAHS is Professor of Neurology, Assistant Program Director of the Neurology Residency Program, and Program Director of the Headache Medicine Fellowship Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, completed her residency in neurology at the Georgetown University Medical Center and her fellowship in Headache Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She is current president of the Southern Headache Society and is a co-chair of the AHS Scottsdale Headache Symposium, Headache Heroines, as well as the Headache Fellowship Directors Committee.
