Katherine Podraza, MD, PhD

Dr. Katherine Podraza is a fellowship trained and board certified headache and facial pain specialist practicing at the Hartford Healthcare Headache Center and is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her MD, PhD training at Loyola Univeristy Chicago and her neurology residency and headache fellowship at UCLA. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of headache and facial pain disorders and uses her extensive training as a physician-scientist and headache neurologist to create unique and state-of-the-art, individualized treatment plans for her patients. Additionally she has a special interest in the interface of visual and headache disorders and has been studying changes in retinal vasculature in migraine for which she was awarded the Frontiers in Headache Research award in 2019 and the 2023 Early Career Lecture Award at the 65th AHS Annual Scientific meeting.
