Dr. Alicia Duyvejonck is a nurse practitioner headache specialist and began her career in outpatient neurology after earning her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Iowa in 2014. She developed a passion for headache medicine early on, drawn by the significant need among underserved patients and the profound impact effective care can have on quality of life. In 2018, she earned the Added Qualification in Headache certification through the National Headache Foundation.
Dr. Duyvejonck launched Iowa's first dedicated headache clinic through Genesis Health System in 2022 and recently relocated to Sringfield, Oregon to develop her second clinic through Oregon Neurology. She is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national professional forums, and is a founding board member of APP2APP Virtual Lectures. Her dedication to headache education and advocacy continues through active roles in the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, and the National Headache Foundation.
